I liked Anika&#...You're doing a WONDERFUL job!! I liked Anika's idea of tatting up bits of rings, chains, or whatever design elements you need in various sizes, laying them out on the pattern (printed at what size you want the finished size to be) and laying out the pieces on it and count what you need - this should get the stitch counts pretty close! I sometimes cut out design elements from a photo of my work then paste them on the new pattern in the computer and actually get it to look like it was tatted - Gets a GREAT view of negative space, etc!! I'm a graphics geek on the computer, though, and spent DECADES doing this :-) Hang in there, you're off to a FABULOUS START!! I'll try your pattern when I finish the several things I already have started!
